Life

Leyba's wife in the 1858 household. That record proves only that she was his wife in 1858. That she was the mother of Sholom (b. 1872) and Dwore (b. 1877) is probable, not proven. Steven Leof's tree names Leibel's wife “Frances”, d. 1889.

• confirmed Graded CONFIRMED in Instinct's Oct 20 package as Leyba's wife: the 1858 Karolin revision lists “Fruma, daughter of Khaim, wife of Leyba”, 18 (born about 1840). That she was the mother of Sholom rests on the dates fitting; no record names Sholom's mother at birth.
