Census sheet: Rosen Morris, Masha, Claire M, MiriamMoses Sheraizen — later Morris RosenArchive extracts without images (typed, from the Belarus archive, Oct 17, 2026)
- confirmed 1811 revision, Karolin/Yelsk (NHAB 333-9-216 p. 131, Dec 20, 1811): Yankel' Meer son of Volf Serayzen, omitted in 1795, 38 (born about 1773); his son Mordukh, 3. Typed extract; page photographs requested. found by Instinct
- probable That Yankel' Meer is the father “Yankel'” of the 1850 Mordukh household. If so, Volf Serayzen is one generation above the old top of the Karolin cluster. Not linked to Itzko or to this line. found by Instinct
- confirmed 1834 revision, Karolin/Yelsk (NHAB 333-9-585 pp. 330v–333): Vol'ko son of Dovid (b. about 1791, d. 1828), widow Rivka, sons Faibish, Zalman, Shimona, daughter Rokhlya; Faibish son of Volka with wife Sora and daughters Braina and Rivka. Agrees with the earlier database reading except one name (Shimona / Shlioma). found by Instinct
- unproven Link of any Karolin household to Sholom, Herman or Detroit: nothing in these extracts ties them. All stay marked, not merged. Instinct
Negative results: searched, nothing found
Kept so the searches are not repeated. A negative is a fact about one list, not a conclusion about the family.
- negative 1874 supplementary revision list (NHAB 333-9-824): the surname (Serayzin / Shirayzen) does not appear. A supplementary list holds only people added or missed; the full 1874 census of Karolin/Yelsk, other spellings, and the page photographs are still unseen. Instinct
- negative Canadian naturalization index 1915–1951: no Sherizen under any spelling. Instinct
- negative 1921 census of Canada: Sholom's own household not found (his sons' households are documented). Instinct
- negative 1816 film DGS 007766568: it holds the Rechitsa-county Jewish revision, not Mozyr county. Instinct
- negative Mozyr-city metrical books do not survive, so Sholom's birth record does not exist. FamilySearch's Minsk revision films cover only 1795–1816; the 1811, 1834 and 1874 files are archive-only. Instinct
- negative Shlioma-Mendel son of Itsik is not in the archive's typed 1834 surname extract: a soft negative for that plausible branch, pending the page scans. Instinct
- negative A 25-year prior Minsk-research database: our files are not in it. Instinct
- dismissed Mowscha Schereisen, 1910 Philadelphia arrival: a different man (his father's surname is not Schereisen). Instinct
